Research

The School of Civil and Resource Engineering is one of the foremost research Schools in Australia. A wide range of research projects are being conducted at the forefront of all major areas of Civil and Resource Engineering. Most of the research projects are strongly linked with industrial needs and funded in large part by industry as well as various departments of the state and federal governments. The School has superb facilities supported by a team of enthusiastic and competent technical and administrative staff.

The School hosts the Australian Research Council Special Research Centre for Offshore Foundation Systems (COFS) which is recognised worldwide as being one of the world leaders in the field of offshore geomechanics and foundation systems. The School is also closely associated with the Australian Centre for Geomechanics (ACG) and chairs two of the UWA Academic Council Approved Discipline Groups. Through its associated Centres and Discipline Groups the School has maintained active collaboration at international, national and local levels which provide a vibrant and stimulating research environment.

Details of the research areas, facilities, associated centres and discipline groups and industry links can be found by following the links below.
