Please ensure that you attend the classes allocated to you through OLCR. The 2pm Lectures are being recorded. The recordings may be accessed through Lectopia. | Notice Board Date | Notices | | 30 April | The bridge building video is now available through Lectopia. | | 7 April | The final powerpoint presentation is here. | | 2 April | Bridge building will be on Tuesday April 8. Last Static Design lecture and tutorial will be on Monday April 7. No lectures Wednesday April 9 (Prosh). Dr Hesterman lectures on Friday April 11 (Dynamics). Dynamics tutorials start the following week. | | 2 April | Here are the solutions for the extra problems: Equilibrium solutions; Friction solutions; Truss solutions | | 28 March | This document derives the equation relating bending stress to bending moment. | | 27 March | I didn't get to the second example (beam with distributed load) in the 2pm Lecture 9, so the complete worked example is here. | | 26 March | Extra problems for practice: Equilibrium Friction Trusses | | 17 March | Lost property: a small electronic device was found after the lecture on 14 March. To claim send me an email describing the item. | | 17 March | Due to a technical problem, the lectures on 14 March were not recorded on iLecture. | | | | |
