Student Laptop Initiative

The UWA Civil Engineering Futures Foundation (CEFF) is offering a laptop to every student entering the Civil Engineering program for the first time in 2008 after completing the foundation first year. This initiative is jointly funded by the CEFF and the School of Civil and Resource Engineering. The laptops will come with all standard office applications (i.e. MS Office, Endnote, Acrobat Reader, etc) as well as specialised software packages used in teaching Civil Engineering units. 

This initiative emphasises the high tech nature of the exciting career of Civil Engineering in today’s world, and will allow advances in the delivery of the Civil Engineering program. Civil Engineering will be the only program in UWA in which every student will have a laptop.

Once you enrol in the Civil Engineering program, please fill out the application form and return it by email to our School Manager, John Jiang, jiang@civil.uwa.edu.au by 7th March 2008.
